Probably late C18 and little altered in appearance.
Built of coursed rubblestone, painted, with a pantile roof. Rectangular block. Two storeys, gable end to street. Yard elevation has the plank carriage house doors to the left and the stable door to the right with window over. Hayloft door above, now with extractor fan incorporated in it. Steeply pitched roof. The street elevation has a panelled door with window over, 3 over 6 pane sash to left, probably for tack room, 3 over 6 pane sash above. Rear elevation not seen.
Interior not seen at resurvey.
Included for its special architectural interest as a probably late C18 stable block of definite character in the Monmouth town centre.
