Former manse to Tabernacle Congregational church, probably built 1867-8 with the chapel, to designs of the Rev. Thomas Thomas of Landore, Swansea. The chapel with school, vestry and house were said to have cost £3,500.
House, former manse, rock-faced grey limestone squared rubble stone with Bath stone quoins and dressings and slate eaved roofs. T-plan, two storeys and attic with crosswing projecting to left. Raised plinth. Gables have overhanging verges, roof has red terracotta cresting and stone chimney on ridge of W wing, with Bath stone quoins. Main floor windows are long plate-glass sashes in Bath stone chamfered flush surrounds with chamfers stopped at top of each jamb.
Crosswing has pointed attic window, paired sashes to first and ground floors, the lower ones longer, with relieving arch over. Rendered stack on E, on W wall of No 95.
W wing set back to right is two-bay with doorway to left and single window above, paired window each floor to right. Doorway is chamfered, segmental-pointed with three stone steps to flush-panelled 6-panel door and overlight. W gable end has similar pointed attic window and first floor paired sashes to cross-wing gable but ground floor curved bay with lozenge slates to curved roof and three similar long sashes. Blank S wall. Rear wing is rendered with W side wall stack.
Front railings extend from gate by corner of crosswing to stone pier at E end of Tabernacle chapel forecourt rails. Gate has two small Gothic cast-iron gatepiers with Gothic finials, C20 gate with spearhead rails and dog-bars. To right is low rubble wall with chamfered rock-faced grey stone coping and low cast-iron railings similar to those at chapel, with Gothic leaf finials to alternate uprights, many broken. Centre square stanchion with larger finial.
Hallway has C19 coloured floor tiles and ornate plater cornice with modillions and rosettes. Stair at right angles to left of hall with chamfered square balusters and newels with finials.
Included as a substantial Victorian Gothic manse of definite character and of group value with Tabernacle chapel.
