Exterior

The wall fronts the vicarage garden to the E and the churchyard to the W; at the NW corner of the churchyard, it curves round and continues S wards where it finally bounds the church car park.

Boundary wall constructed of dressed snecked pink and red sandstone, similar to that used in church, with saddleback coping. Dressed gate piers with moulded 2-stage pyramidal caps. There are 2 front gateways, leading into church and vicarage, which have double iron gates with ornate scrollwork and dog rails. Entrance to car park has slightly lower walls which are splayed inwards, finishing in end piers.

Reasons for Listing

Listed as a finely constructed boundary wall in the same style as the Church of St Ethelwold, and for group value with the church and the Vicarage.
