Gatepiers and gates to a disused drive to Hafod. The drive was made in 1813-14, but these probably date from the later C19.
Two large gate-piers of tooled grey stone with plinth, chamfered piers, string-course, plain frieze and cornice with moulding under flat cap. Low plinth above under renewed carriage lamp. Double gates with spearhead rails, mid-rail with row of cast-iron pierced quatrefoils in squares, dog-bars beneath and spearhead finials above. Dog-bars have diagonally crossed strengthening bars.
Locks marked Hill & Smith, Broseley Hill.
Included as a fine pair of estate gates with gatepiers, group value with Hafod Lodge.
