History

A late C18 or early C19 house shown on the 1840 Tithe map.

Exterior

A 2-storey 3-window house of whitewashed rubble stone, slate roof and external stone stack to the L with brick shaft, and external brick stack to the R. The central panelled door is beneath a small-pane overlight and is flanked by replacement windows under wooden lintels. In the upper storey are 3 small horizontal-sliding sash windows beneath the eaves. A rear outshut has replacement windows.

Reasons for Listing

Listed for its special architectural interest as a farmhouse retaining early C19 character, a type once common in the region but rarely well preserved.
