Telephone call-box of K6 type designed for the GPO in the 1930s by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott architect. This one of George VI's reign.
Telephone call-box, red-painted cast-iron kiosk with shallow Soaneian dome over lunettes with embossed George VI crown and lettered glazed panels reading 'Telephone'. Sides and door are glazed vertically with 8 horizontal panes each with narrow marginal panes. Raised moulded surrounds and plinth. Blank rear. Number (01437) 532285.
