History

Lychgate, probably rebuilt at time of the church restoration, 1876-89 by Middleton & Son of Cheltenham. A lychgate of some antiquity is mentioned in 1874.

Exterior

Lychgate, squared grey slate stone with slate gable coping. Broad segmental-pointed arch with stone voussoirs and double iron gates. Gates have dog-bars and curved top rails. Steps to slate stile to right of lychgate.

Included for its special interest as a prominent architectural feature which has group value with the parish church.
