History

An early site. Probably C17 with C18/19 alterations.

Exterior

Cottage, attached at left to number 5 with number 9 at right angles to right. Stucco-rendered and painted with slate roof with brick end stack. Two storeys. An asymmetrical frontage: 2-window range of 6-pane cross-framed casements in reveals (not original). Centre left doorway with deep round-arched hood, door with diamond glazing bars. Small forecourt garden bounded by kerb with low railings between rendered piers.

House retaining much architectural character within the historic centre of Usk.
Group value with adjacent buildings.
