Lime kiln, probably early C19, built into a charging bank to the N. One of at least 2 kilns marked on the OS map of 1868.
Lime kiln, large, rubble stone with projecting section to E, possibly part of another kiln now gone. Large kiln-eyes on the W and E sides with segmental arch of stone voussoirs. Crucible is open, tapering to bottom and is accessible from E kiln-eye which has been repaired with C20 concrete lintel. Top has C20 paving and railings.
Included as a well-preserved C19 lime-kiln of historical interest.
