Built probably mid C19 while the farm was still arable with the need for more carts and implements. The farm remained tenanted until the 1980s, and became an exhibit of the Museum of Welsh Life in 1989. It is furnished and displayed as a very complete Vale of Glamorgan farmstead of the 1930s.
Whitewashed rubblestone with Welsh slate roof. Long single storey gabled building with open front to yard. Six bays with the front supported on steel posts, divided into two lots of three bays by a brick wall. Plain roof and blind rear wall of exposed rubble.
Roof of mechanically sawn king post trusses.
Included for group value as part of the very complete Llwyn-yr-eos Farmstead.
