Double wrought-iron gates and flanking pedestrian gates with 4 cast-iron gatepiers, made by Coalbrookdale Foundry, erected 1900. Gates restored 2001.
Ornate set of gatepiers and gates at main entry to Carmarthen Park. Two tall cast-iron panelled piers with fielded panels, moulded plinths and cornices and urns on pedestals above. Two similar but shorter outer piers. Double high main gates with much ornate scrollwork and scrolled cresting with flowers. Single simpler pedestrian gates. Gatepiers are marked Coalbrookdale. Plaque on main gate 'These gates were erected by T.J. Harries, Oxford St London AD 1900' and another plaque recording 2001 restoration for Carmarthen Town Council.
