Early C19 lime kiln of the local Monmouthshire type, rectangular in plan with two kiln eyes. Restored June 1988 by Cwmbran Community Council.
Lime kiln, rectangular plan, built into a bank with walls of rough rubble stone. Two large kiln-eyes to the longer N side, segmental arches with dressed stone voussoirs and short piers to centre and each side. Crucible has been infilled. Restoration in C20 included sloping coping to central pier, low curving castellated rubble stone wall to front, metal grilles to kiln eyes and flat coping to top of wall.
Included as the remains of a substantial lime-kiln, of industrial archaeological interest.
