Late medieval, probably C15, with some repair and replacement socket stone and shaft of 1887. Unusually it retains a possibly original medieval carved head.
Built of white limestone ashlar. Square cross-base of four diminishing steps. Replacement socket stone with broach stops. Replacement broach stopped shaft, square going to octagonal, with a neo-classical cap topped by a possibly original and certainly medieval carved head.
Included as a fine churchyard cross having group value with the adjacent Church of St. Mary.
