Built in the third quarter of the C19 and first shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.
Originally a pair of dwellings of rubble stone with slate roof and roughcast stacks. The main 3-window house on the R has an entrance enclosed within a low walled forecourt and iron railings. In the lower storey the openings have keyed segmental stone heads with drip moulds. The central doorway has a half-glazed door. Windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, beneath the eaves in the upper storey. The second, single-window house on the L has a cambered stone head to a boarded door on the R. The lower storey 4-pane window has a brick segmental head, with 12-pane hornless sash window beneath the eaves. Gable ends are pebble-dashed, of which the L-hand has a half-lit door to the L side.
Not inspected.
Listed as a now rare pair of C19 houses of regional character retaining good original detail.
