Probably erected in the 1920s and by E Jones, sculptor of Llanybydder (engraved on plinth). It was modified c1950 by adding a new red granite base with inscription.
On a stepped concrete and Portland stone plinth, the top step of which was the base of the original memorial and bears the maker''''''''s inscription. A tapering square polished red-granite base has inscriptions in gold letters commemorating the fallen of the 1914-18 and 1939-45 wars. Above it is a Portland stone base to the statue of an infantryman.
Listed for its social-historical interest and as a well-detailed memorial in a prominent location in the village.
