Probably early C19 in present form though on an earlier developed site. Was the house of the fisheries bailiff, the fishery yard entered through the double gates with rear access to The Back. Extended to rear late C20. Beyond and fronting the courtyard is a single storey former fishery range. Silverpill was the area of water by the former dry dock and St Ann Street was formerly known as Silverpill Lane.
Georgian house. Of coursed roughly dressed and tooled Forest of Dean stone with shallow-pitched hipped slate roof and stone stack set above a chamfered corner. Two storeys. Frontage to St Ann's Street has a 2-window range of 12-pane sashes over a courtyard entrance with double boarded doors to right and altered opening to left. Side elevation has a similar upper window and larger ground floor sash under voussoirs.
