Built as a pair of cottages in the early C19 and shown on the 1838 Tithe map. It was 2 cottages in 1899 and converted into a single dwelling in the C20.
A single cottage adapted from a reflected pair of single-unit cottages, of whitened rubble stone and slate roof with rebuilt stack L and brick stack to the R. Openings in the lower storey have brick segmental heads. The doorway R of centre has a gabled canopy and boarded door. To the L of centre, the former doorway to the L-hand cottage is replaced by a small-pane window. The outer sides have C19 4-pane horizontal-sliding sashes in both storeys, which are beneath the eaves in the upper storey. Additions to the rear.
Listed as rare surviving rural labourers' cottages retaining early character and detail.
