The milestone has pointed fingers as direction indicators. It is inscribed 'St Asaph 8½ miles, Denbigh 6¾ miles, and Mold 9¼ miles'. Both sides are inscribed 'Caerwys 1 mile, Holywell 6¾ miles'. The gabled cap is inscribed with the date and royal monogram 'VR'. An added rubble stone wall is at the rear.
