Small metal sundial on stone or cast concrete pier designed by J Coates Carter for Dom Aelred Carlyle, dated 1913.
Sundial on 3 rough stone steps. Plinth of stone or cast imitation stone, square plan, with chamfered tapered shaft to square top with Celtic interlace ornament beneath lettered band: 'Emitte lucem tuam et veritatem tuam'. Date 1913 on rear. Round metal sundial on flat top.
Included as a small piece of Celtic revival design by J Coates Carter.
