Memorial urn on a pedestal, over Williams family vault. Erected in August 1777 by Penry Williams II of Penpont in memory of his father, Penry I, died 1742 and mother Anna, died 1754. The urn was delivered on 15 August 1777, carried on two wagons from Painswick, Gloucestershire. Inscriptions record also Thomas Williams died 1762, Diana Williams died 1794, Anne Williams died 1778, Penry Williams died 1757, infant children of Penry Williams, and Philip Williams died 1794.
Stone funerary monument in Painswick stone. A large fluted urn on tall pedestal with moulded cornice, panelled sides, and plinth. Iron railings on three sides. Inscriptions record names of Williams family members buried in vault or in the church. Part of the urn broken off.
Included for its special interest as a fine C18 monument, of group value with Betws Penpont church.
