History

Built as estate cottages in the early C19 by John Douglas, who purchased Gyrn Castle in 1817. The entire row is shown on the 1839 Tithe map.

Exterior

Retaining an original boarded door, with restored horizontal-sliding sashes. The R gable end has a triple horizontal-sliding sash window lower R and an inserted boarded door at the R end. Behind is an added projection.

Reasons for Listing

Listed as one of a well-preserved row of estate cottages retaining early character, and for its contribution to the historic character of Glanyrafon.
