Built probably in the C19 as an improvement to the earlier farmyard.
Built of rubble stonework, with slated roofs. The building consists of a 2-bay carthouse with gable end entrance towards the house, and to which a stone external stair is attached for access to the granary over. A further, narrower building, last used as a stable, is attached at the S end, of 2 bays with a timber boarded front.
Included as a simple C19 farmyard building, an integral part of the farmyard at Ty'n y Cornel, which represents a particularly well-preserved group.
