Built probably in the C19 at the same time as the main farm range.
Built of rubble stonework, with a continuous slate roof. A range of four pig sties aligned E-W, facing the main farm building range. Each sty has an opening on to a walled run on the S side, and each run has its own gate opening to the S side driftway passing the N end of the farm range. At the SW corner there is a large monolithic stone basin, with another large stone basin in the centre of the farmyard still fed by a water leet.
Included as of group value within the unusually planned farmstead group belonging to the gentry house at Penrhyn-dyfi.
