Late C17 or C18 barn built to serve the present late C17 Plas-y-Ward; modern alterations.
Tall, rectangular barn of whitened limestone rubble construction with slate roof. The farmyard (N) side has a large modern opening to the L with 3 plain entrances to the R and a square window opening beyond; two 2-light, part-boarded windows under the eaves to the R. The S side has 3 boarded 2-light upper windows; loading bays with pegged surrounds to both gable ends.
3-bay interior with original tie-beam and raking strut trusses.
Listed as a late C17 or C18 barn with good external character; interesting also in its incorporation within an ambitious late C18/early C19 planned farmyard group.
