History

Built in the early C19, probably contemporary with a major rebuilding of the main house.

Exterior

Wide entrance gates and flanking railings recessed behind the rubble boundary wall of Groes hall. The vertical rails to the gates and flanking railings have fleur de lys finials; the gates with lock rail and curving rail ascending to the centre. The rubble walls have emphatic 'cock and hen' copings and terminate in square rubble piers.

Reasons for Listing

Included as an integral part of the estate at Groes Hall. The gates once formed the main entrance to the Hall.
