War Memorial of 1923, white marble soldier on pedestal of Aberdeen granite. One of a group of similar white marble statues including those at Llangeitho, Llanddewi Brefi, Drefach and Aberbanc in Ceredigion and Dale in Pembrokeshire.
War memorial, white marble soldier with reversed rifle. Pedestal is red granite on two steps, one cement, one stone. Stone step marked W Thomas, Llandovery. Pedestal has moulded plinth, battered main shaft with inscribed names from 1914-19 on W face, from 1939-45 on S face and `Adeiladwyd gan y plwyfoloion' on N face. Moulded cornice.
Included for historical interest and as a good example of commemorative sculpture.
