History

The front of the building is a late C18 or early C19 remodelling of a C17 farmhouse, parts of which survive at the rear.

Exterior

Built of stone and whitewashed, with a slate roof. Two storeys, 3 bays. The main front, facing SW, is approximately symmetrical though offset to the right, with a central entrance to a stair hall. Part glazed 4-panelled door, set within a C19 boarded pitched-roof open porch. Sixteen paned sash windows on both floors, that to the main parlour on the right larger. Gable stacks.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a good example of an improved early C19 farmhouse.
