The bridge was probably built in or shortly after 1777 when the new turnpike was established from Cernioge to Llanwrst.
Built of rubble stonework. A segmental arch of c6.5m span composed of voussoirs inset below spandels and flush stone-coped parapets, parallel sided, but the splayed abutments slightly outset and terminating in square piers. The soffit of the bridge is c2.8m above water level, and the carriageway is slightly cambered, 5.5m wide between the 0.5m wide parapets.
Included as a good and well preserved example of a late C18 turnpike bridge in a rural setting.
