Mainly early C19. Trebinshwn is a predominantly Regency country house with important sub-medieval origins and historical associations with Henry Vaughan.
This garden is likely to be contemporary with the early C19 remodelling.
Behind the house the wall acts as a high retaining wall to the garden which is at a higher level and incorporates a flight of 11 steps and a garden room. Curving to left it extends to enclose a large rectangular plot, a former vegetable garden for the house. At courtyard level left of the steps there is a round arched storage bay built into the bank and to left the square headed ground floor entrance to the garden room with multipane window above. Second entrance to the 2-bay hipped roofed garden room is at upper level from garden, the side wall forming part of the walled garden. The main frontage of the latter, roughly parallel to the main house frontage and facing E, has 3 cambered arched entrances, that nearest the house with a shallow pediment; the garden wall has flat coping.
Garden room has a small fireplace and 6 panelled staircase door.
Included for group value with the main house and as an integral part of the early C19 redevelopment of Trebinshwn.
