History

Probably mid C19, used as a privy, but possibly built as an folly or observation tower, exploiting a commanding position overlooking the Menai Strait.

Exterior

A square tower with tapering sides, walls of pink gritstone rubble. Single door to E side with pointed arch lintel. The walls of the tower are ruinous and the roof is missing. Abutting to the N is a garden wall which incorporates a pointed arch gateway.

Listed as an unusual, functional, garden structure, which forms part of a group with Porthamel house.
