History

Undated clapper bridge, probably associated with the former corn mill at Tan-y-fynwent, mentioned in an extent of 1352. The corn-mill has foundation walls remaining only.

Exterior

Simple clapper bridge crossing a small stream to the S of Tan-y-fynwent farm, linking the farm with the neighbouring farm of Cae Gwyn. Large central drystone pier supporting massive unworked stone slabs, two either side.

Reasons for Listing

Listed as a well preserved clapper bridge, an unusual survival on Anglesey, associated with the former Medieval corn-mill at Tan-y-fynwent.
