Mid C19 large lime kiln, the best surviving example of the two on Skomer.
Square lime kiln some 3m high and 6m wide built of rubble stone. NW side is built into slope of hill and SW and NE sides have large kiln eyes with tapering sides to cast-iron lintels. Crucible is open.
Listed as a good surviving lime kiln of the region and of historical value in the history of farming on Skomer.
