Later C18 three-storey house, of one build with the Griffin Inn to N. Owned by the Dale Castle estate.
House, whitewashed rubble stone with slate roof and large roughcast N end stack. Three-storey, three-window E front with two upper windows, and 8-pane horned sashes to main floors. Square upper windows are a horizontal-sliding sash to left and a 4-pane sash to right. Door is in left bay of ground floor, C20 6-panel door with renewed timber hood on brackets.
Mid to later Georgian closed-string staircase in 4 flights with moulded rail and square newels. Turned balusters, some original some replaced. 2 pegged oak roof trusses.
A later C18 house of provincial Georgian character, prominently sited on the waterfront at Dale.
