The icehouse is recorded as having been built c1862-4.
Limestone rubble built facade with an opening formed with a re-used ovolo-moulded beam. The rest of the structure is buried in the hillock.
The approach passage is approximately 6m long, leading to the domed icehouse, approximately 3m in diameter, domed by diminishing brick courses. The lower part of the ice chamber has been filled up.
Included as a good example of an icehouse and as a surviving feature in the landscaped park at Kinmel.
