History

Earlier C19 farmhouse. Marked on the Tithe Map of 1847 as being a seven acre holding,(part of Moelcernidd, owned by Evan Watkin and occupied by John Meredith).

Exterior

Rendered rubble stone, whitewashed to front and left end, slate roof and stone end stacks.Two-storey, three-window range, offset to left. Sixteen-pane horned sashes with slate sills. Boarded 9-pane glazed door. Window to cellar to left front.


Two 4-pane casement windows on right end wall, one on ground floor and one on first floor, both towards front wall. Later rubble stone rear wing with slate roof and brick end stack. Door and two C20 windows to right side.

Reasons for Listing

A substantial farmhouse with well-preserved regional character.
