Probably built in 1874 when the lantern of the lighthouse was replaced and a new oil-powered light introduced.
Whitewashed render over rubble with coped gables on moulded kneelers, slate roof. Single storeyed, with doorway in E-facing gable, with small oculus in apex of gable, and a similar opening in the W-facing gable. Brick-arched ceiling internally, and low slate slab shelves lining the walls.
An important component of the lighthouse site, and an unaltered example of a late C19 oil-store.
