Later C18 and C19 water-powered corn-mill on the Gwenffrwd stream. Datestone I.Gs. 1791 may be imported. Overshot 15 foot wheel has gone. There was also a wheel on the shaft to link to a gas-engine stood ouside. Interior remodelled in late C19.
Rubble stone with slate roofs. Two storeys and loft. Irregular facade of two 4-pane casements to centre and left over ground floor window, door window, roughly aligned with windows above. 6-pane window to left, broad doorway with cambered head on oak lintel and four-pane casement to right. I.Gs. 1791 on plaque over door. Loft lights in each gable, door and window to first floor at rear. Right end has wheelpit of former overshot wheel. Left end has attached later C19 lofted cow-house with two loft windows under eaves and ground floor brick-headed door, window, door, door, and added brick lean-to. Door in end-wall, in angle to mill, to former kiln-room.
Full later C19 machinery. Ground floor line-shaft to two spur-wheels turning shafts for two first floor mill-stones. Shaft driven bolter in panelled cupboard. Sack-hoists in loft and five hoppers. Roof has two oak pegged collar-trusses, otherwise early C20 pine. Pine floor joists.
A good example of a small rural mill retaining its machinery.
