History: Mid C19 entrance gates to former N drive to Monachty, not marked on 1843 Tithe Map.
Description: Four whitewashed rubble stone piers with concrete caps. Whitewashed rubble stone low slightly curved lengths of wall between outer piers with thin spearhead rails. Double iron gates, ramped down to meeting stile. Curved strengthening bars, latticed mid rail and spearheads to top-rail and over mid-rail. Dog-bars below mid-rail.
Group value with North Lodge at former NE entrance to Monachty, a major country house in the region.
