History: Early C19 entrance lodge to Monachty, in similar neo-classical style to house S front. Probably built c1830-5, but not marked on 1843 Tithe Map, possibly an error.
Description: Colourwashed stucco with slate hipped deep-eaved roof with brackets, and whitewashed stuccoed ridge stack. Single-storey, double-fronted range with raised angle strips and eaves band.
12-pane sash each side of C20 door with overlight. Right side wall is similarly outlined in raised strips and windowless. Left side has 4-8-4-pane tripartite sash.
A good Regency style gate-lodge to a major country house in the region.
