Exterior

Of one build of stone with ashlar dressings and slate roof, but corrugated iron on the stable block. Both buildings are of 3 bays, the stable, nearer the house, set slightly higher. Central boarded door, and 2-light windows placed symmetrically either side. One central pitching eye to the hayloft over. The carthouse to the left, has three 3-centred arched openings of cut voussoirs supported on circular columns with square abaci and bases. Two smaller pitching eyes placed over the outer arches. Enclosed stair to loft at E end.

Reasons for Listing

One of a group of well preserved farm buildings at Llach-doll farm, and one of the best examples of this characteristic local design for carthouses.
