One of a group of cottages probably built in C18 by London Lead Company, said to be the first to use coal to smelt lead, and producer of much of the silver for English coinage in the early C18.
Cottage. One storey plus attic. Brick, painted, old slate roof with raking gable parapets. Front wall runs up as central shouldered chimney. Door to L with (modern) bow window to R, and further small window to R of this. Modern extensions to each end.
A rare example of industrial workers' cottage from this period.
