Bears date 1848. Double arched masonry road bridge. Grey squared coursed stone with buff freestone dressings. Segmental arches with rusticated stepped voussoirs. Piers to each side of arch have rock faced quoins, as have piers to ends of bridge. Freestone band at road level bears date (on SE side) "May 1848", (month in Gothic lettering). Parapet with flat freestone copine; low pyramidal capstones to piers.
Included as very early railway structure from primary period of Chester to Holyhead Railway.
