Probably early or mid C19, the kiln was built to supply the farms in the locality with lime for the fields and it was supplied by a quarry on the southern edge of the village to which it was linked by a levelled track.
Rubble with squared quoins, approx. 2m high with side flue.
Listed as a good example of a village lime kiln in a prominent position.
