A timber framed house probably late C17 in origin, though with some later reconstruction. Box framed in square panels with some arch bracing; brick nogging. Concrete tiled roof with brick axial stack. Central storeyed porch (against the chimney) and 2-room plan. Casement windows to ground floor, and to first floor in dormers within the roof. Lean-to against weatherboarded left hand gable and outshut to rear both appear to be part of the original building, and are both also timber framed.
A good example of a vernacular early 'Renaissance' house type, with its symmetrical planning about a central entrance and chimney.
