Erected as a war memorial after the 1914-18 war.
Ashlar base carrying open timber trusses of slate roof. Inscription plates incorporated into interior wall, that to World War II a later addition. Gilded lettering inscribed into the outward face of the outer tie beam. The trusses are close studded with curved braces. Paired gates framed in timber small open panels, with wrought iron braces.
A simply detailed memorial lychgate which forms an important part of a group at the centre of the village.
