First outbuilding: c.1820 renovated c.1880. Red brick, with slate roof, gable stack. On S side a central boarded door, no windows. The building has an attached pig-sty of semi-engineering brick wall 1.8m high forming a small enclosure on the E.
Second outbuilding: To the immediate S. a second storeroom or tollhouse, red brick,raised 8 courses in semi-engineering brick, slate roof with clay ridges. Chimney stack in W gable. door at S end of E wall. No windows.
Both buildings are part of a group of canal structures at Burgedin Lock on the Montgomeryshire Canal of special historical interest.
