History

Telephone kiosk of K6 type designed for the GPO in 1936 by Giles Gilbert Scott. This example dates from before 1953 and was made by the Carron Company, Stirlingshire. Telephone number 01874 622105.

Exterior

Telephone kiosk, red painted cast-iron with Soaneian domed roof over four lunettes containing embossed George VI crowns over red lettered glass panels. Raised surrounds to two sides and door with marginal bars to horizontal glazing. Moulded plinth. Foundry plate on blank rear.
