The house was built as the rectory for the church at Llanelian on glebe land, c1832-40. It ceased to be a rectory c1980.
Adjoins the house to the S. Roughly coursed and squared local shale with slate roofs 2-storeyed. Stable and coach house forms one building, with cow-house adjoining. Symmetrical plan to stable block, with wide central entrance leading to loft staircase, flanked by stable door to the left, and the former coach house to the right (the doorway altered by the insertion of a garage). Stable retains a plank door with strap hinge, and together with the central staircase door, has a tooled stone lintel. Small shuttered loft openings above. Adjoining cow house has 2 doorways (plank doors with strap hinges), and small loft entrance above.
A fine example of a modest early C19 rectory together with its outbuildings, which
retains most of its original detail.
