Probably C16-17 origin though appears to have been remodelled early to mid C19 and appears on Tithe Map with the current 3 units, omitting the small porch-shaped wing. Barn formerly of 3 bays with opposing doorways and threshing floor, metal bolted roof trusses. Byre formerly of 3 bays with loft, though when listed this was already partly incorporated into house; separate stable.
Long house comprising former farmhouse and adjoining byre (E) and barn (W) now incorporated into single dwelling, also including a single storey porch-type wing to road side and garden porch. Of colourwashed stone; Welsh slate roof incorporating rooflights with yellow brick ridge stacks. Two storeys. Windows are mostly 2-light wood casements. Garden frontage has a 5 window range to the main house, the upper windows close under eaves; centre porch and a second door to ground floor to right; doorway of former barn unit to left has been converted to a window. Rear elevation facing road has a 2 window range to left of porch wing, and further ground floor window to set-back former byre range; single window range to right; barn range end right is also set back and former door blocked, partly incorporating a French window, retaining timber lintel; ventilation slits on 2 levels.
Original list description refers to chamfered beams with broach stops in living room and byre, fireplace in end (E) wall, stone stairs and small window looking into former byre. Former external chimney projects into former byre.
Included, notwithstanding conversion and incorporation of byre and barn units into dwelling, as retaining traditional farmhouse character.
