History

C19 surround to an earlier well.

Exterior

This well is currently (March 2003) unapproachable due to heavy undergrowth and the existing list description cannot be checked; checked again (June 2003) but the situation is the same. It is said to be as below :
Trapezoid well chamber with stone lining walls on three sides, with segmental stone arched roof and in front with stone pilasters flanking two iron doors. Spring still in use. Stone lined rectangular overflow to right hand with bevelled edge. The water from the spring connects with the pond at West-End Town (qv).
